RACHEL LEVY

Rachel Levy serves as an Editor of Math Values blog. She was part of the teams that created the BIG Math Network, Math Modeling Hub, BIG Career Card Game and the MAA Conversations for the Mathematics Community series. She has blogged and written for American Scientist, created the blog Grandma got STEM, and co-edited MAA Teaching Tidbits. She has regularly contributed to society publications such as MAA FOCUS, Math Horizons, AMS Notices, and SIAM News. She has co-written books on mathematical modeling education, partial differential equations, and careers. She served on the editorial board of Math Horizons magazine and has edited a memoir of a WWII aviator. She facilitates workshops on press communication and has had numerous media engagements including NPR, Australian Broadcast Company, Ed Week, Slate, and Boingboing. She was an MAA Project NExT Fellow and an MAA Alder Award winner.
